My Prayer
Dear Lord
Please help me to see
With Your eyes.
Lend me Thine ears to hear.
Let no man tell me lies
Believed
Wicked illusions
So deadly to my soul.
Let my heart be guided
By the virgin Wisdom, who is Thy Bride
With child of Thy seed
Yet, never once defiled.
She is the Shadow of the Sun.
Mother of Darkness and
Father of Light
Are One.
Let not my worldly desires defeat me,
Or any impure love keep me.
Protect me from my own selfishness
Arising from confusion to deceive.
I call on Him
Who opens the door,
In answer to my knocking plea,
And to He,
Who counted every maddening tear,
When I was questioning,
Wondering why
He had no mercy,
As in despair
I watched the death of saints
Lost all my loves
And relived memories that taint.
Give me strength
To defeat the evil one
Inside of me,
Not some monster god,
That devil,
Who has no power to overrule Thy purpose,
For he does not exist
Beyond the falsities of my own ego,
Whose ultimate nightmare,
Is to be subservient to LOVE, control lost,
In the fight to make illusions reign
In place of peace, skewing all perception.
I want to be like the one sacrificed
Resurrected into pure light,
Reborn amidst a higher vibration,
Refined by the fires of temptation.
