Love Poem: Time
Time
The Master of Illusion
I need more time alone to think,
To capture phantom thoughts,
Eluding conscious memory.
Wind racing past ears,
Calling loudly, but I go to fast to hear.
I need more time to ponder.
Screaming for deliverance from this madness,
I pray for silence as the clock yanks my chains,
And ever more I realize,
How lost I am, how far
From that guiding star,
My reason for existence,
My only true ambition,
To be free from the constraining illusion
Of time… that exists only in my mind.
